Safe job search in Kuwait

Most OnKuwait ads are ordinary. A few are scams. These warning signs repeat in the local market.

Do not pay for a job

A real employer does not ask you to transfer dinars to “open a file”, “process a visa” or “reserve a bed” before you start. If WhatsApp asks for Western Union or an e-wallet, stop and report the listing.

OnKuwait does not charge job seekers an application fee. If someone claims they work here and asks for money, they do not. Our address is info@onkuwait.com.

Check the listing before you send documents

• Is the ad still live on OnKuwait, or did the link come from a random group?
• Does the WhatsApp number match the number on the listing?
• Are they asking for your passport and bank card in the first message?
• Is the meeting in an office or housing you can visit in daylight, or “send money now”?

Interviews and housing

A meeting in a public restaurant or an open office is normal. Do not hand over an original passport in a car. If housing is promised, ask whether it is a bed in a shared room or a promise with no address. Save the salary and hours on WhatsApp before day one.

Applying from outside Kuwait

Lawful overseas hire goes through offices and contracts, not an Instagram account that promises a job in a week. Read the residence-types guide. If you are already in Kuwait, do not quit your current job until you have something in writing from the new employer.

How to report

Each job page has a report control. Say if they asked for money or pretended to be OnKuwait. We review and take the ad down when it checks out. If you already lost money, go to the police and the proper authorities. We are a listings board, not a bank that can reverse transfers.
