Who can apply for jobs in Kuwait

OnKuwait lists jobs in Kuwait. If you can do the work, you can apply. Some employers want someone already in the country. Some will hire from abroad and say so. Read the ad, then write.

The board is for jobs in Kuwait

Every listing here is work on the ground in Kuwait: a till in Salmiya, a school run in Jabriya, an office in Sharq, a kitchen in Mahboula. We are not a board for jobs in other countries. If you want those, you are on the wrong site.

Anyone can send an application. Kuwaiti citizens do. People who already live here do. People still abroad do, when the employer is actually hiring from outside. The ad has to say that last part. If it does not, assume they want someone who can start from here this week.

We do not rank ads by who you are. Newest jobs sit at the top. You open one, you read it, you reply. That is the whole loop.

What to look for in the text

Most ads tell you, in ordinary language, who they have in mind. “Already in Kuwait.” “Local hire.” “We will bring someone from abroad.” “Kuwaiti candidates welcome.” Those lines matter more than any box on the form.

If the employer left that part blank, they often mean anyone who can show up and do the hours. Ask in your first message if you are unsure: are you hiring someone already here, or from outside? One question. Then you know whether to spend the afternoon on it.

A shop that needs a cashier tomorrow is not going to wait for a plane. A contractor who wrote that they will hire from overseas is a different timeline, with paperwork that sits with official offices, not with us.

If you live in Kuwait already

You are the person most of these ads were typed for. Say where you are — Hawalli, Ahmadi, Jahra — and how soon you can start. If you are a citizen, put that in the first line so nobody files you with the wrong pile. If you have been here for years, say that too. It saves a useless interview.

You do not need a special code from this website to apply. You need a Kuwait number if you have one, a short note that matches the job, and the patience not to pay anyone who promises to “fix papers” on WhatsApp.

Part-time counts. Three mornings in a salon, evening data entry, a weekend hall. Apply if the hours fit the life you already have. Skip the live-in room if you are going home to family at night. That is not a failure. It is reading.

If you are still abroad

Some listings will bring a person in. They say so. The rest want someone who is already here. Applying to a Farwaniya restaurant that needs a waiter on Thursday, from another country, burns everyone’s time.

Lawful hire from abroad goes through contracts and government steps. It does not go through a man on Instagram who wants a deposit this week. We will not refund that transfer. We cannot. If the only next step is money, it is not a job on this board.

When an ad really is overseas hire, ask what the employer will handle and what you must handle. Then check the official channels. OnKuwait publishes the vacancy. We do not stamp passports.

What we will not do

We do not transfer sponsorship. We do not take a cut of salary. We do not sell a “file”. Employers write their own ads. If they ask you for dinars to apply, report the listing and we take it down.

Residence rules change. For anything that looks like a legal question, go to the proper offices, or to someone licensed to answer. This page is only how jobs on onkuwait.com are meant to be read: work in Kuwait, apply if you can do it, believe the sentences in the ad more than rumours in a group chat.

If two people send you two different stories about the same job, open the listing again on this site. The public text is the one we have. A private rewrite with a higher salary and a fee is bait. There will be another till, another car, another kitchen. There will not be another afternoon if you spend this one on a deposit.

A simple way to use the site this week

Open the homepage. Pick a category you can actually do. Read three ads all the way through, not just the title. If the work, the area and the hours fit, send a short message with your name, a Kuwait number if you have one, and two years that match the job. Apply on the listing so the employer sees the same page you saw.

Do not pay to apply. Do not hand over a passport in a car park. Do not wait for a group to “confirm” a job that is already public here.

Citizens, residents, newcomers who can lawfully work — the door on this site is the apply button. The employer still decides who they hire. We decide whether the ad is honest enough to stay up. That split is on purpose. It keeps us a noticeboard, which is what we are.

Hours, area, and a number in dinars

The useful facts on a Kuwait job are still the old ones. Where is the work. When does it start. What is the pay, and is a room or a meal part of it. A listing that hides all three and then asks you to WhatsApp “for details” is usually weak. You can still write. Ask those three things in one line.

Salmiya at 9 a.m. is not Jahra at midnight. A banquet hall that pays per event is not a monthly salary. Read the note under the figure. If the chat quotes a higher number after a deposit, close it. We wrote a longer page on pay if you want it.

Apply on the job page so the employer sees the same ad you saw. Groups copy titles and raise the salary. If you cannot find the job on onkuwait.com while you type, you are writing to a forward, not to this board.

We updated this page on 19 September 2026. Rules change; check official offices before you decide.
